'bukki, my Radiant character, is thinking about giving up the long, hard, unfulfillingroad of CH for the long, hard, slightly-less-unfulfilling road of Ranger. Can I get someone's *HONEST* opinion on which one I should keep? Ranger would be useful for 'bukki's need to track down creatures, but I don't have enough skill points for all three professions, sadly.

Nevermind that... after reading through some of the posts and people here, 'bukki's going Ranger! It's so nice to find a board where people actually celebrate their profession, rather than cry and moan and whinge at the devs about what they want.

If it helps, Ranger is being revamped in the future, and will not retain any of the skills it currently has. It will become a stealth/trip mine profession. All of the current Ranger skills are moving to Scout with the exception of tracking, which is being removed entirely, unless the devs state other wise. No ETA on thsi revamp, but the docs for it are up, so it should be soon (on the geologic time scale).

Even though there will be some sort of revamp, I'm currently working to re-master my beloved Ranger. I'm also on the Radiant server, so say hi sometime

In the Ranger Revamp Most of the Ranger skills will be moved to M. Scout, so you can go up CH and also M. Scout and basically have the best of both worlds, as soon as the revamp goes thourgh

Actually, many of the Ranger skill mods are being distributed througout Scout (not just master).

I like that. I'd still be an outdoorsman. I'm never giving up my Master Scout. Just thinking maybe I can do what Cryos did and try something different for a while. Since there is talk of no respec for Ranger, I'll probably change anyway.

Will ranger still have the same Creature Harvesting skills?I think its plus 50-60 at master, I'm not home to check it.

No. The harvesting mods are being moved to Scout.

the second Agon gets word, I'm sure he'll tell us. I highly doubt anyone is in danger of missing out. The second this hits TC, every thread will be about it. Until then...patience, young padawan.
