I'm considering making one of my characters a ranger, but I am hesitant because I am not sure what these new changes are going to bring. I want the ability to harvest well, but I've read through many of the threads and there is not much said on whether Ranger will have anything to do with harvesting anymore.

If anyone has any idea, please post here. Should I hold off on becoming a ranger until after the publish?

Ranger won't have any harvesting mods at all, all harvesting mods will be in scout. If you're looking to collect a lot of organics, then after the revamp, Master Scout will be all you need.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

But do not expect to se the Rewrap this side of Christmas. February/March is my own best hope.

I would go at least Master Scout right now. You'll have all the mods and stuff from Ranger if the revamp ever happens.

But, it's your character, do what you'd like. Though you can harvest like crazy until the changes.

Iconic professions. Ok. Chewbacca was a Scout. How come that didn't stay?

When you think about it, aren't almost all of the original professions iconic? You can find something on each of them in the Expanded Universe.

I miss being a Ranger. It was more than a profession, it was a virtual way of life. It wasn't for everyone. But those who took it up became family.
