Remember, the prereqs are still in a state of flux! Don't start dropping skills unless it's what you really want!

The FWG5 is a decent pistol, and it is only level certified. And get a featherweight if possible. As for a good carbineer /shrug I use a E11 Mark II, but that is master carbines only... perhaps someone who grinded out carbines can help there.

IF the prereqs stay as is the only reason you would have to drop RIlfes or any other combat profession is if you wanted more points to use.
If you canhandle dropping Master Scout, drop it instead and stay Master Rifles, Master Ranger.

If you want to try the ninja thing you will only have like 8 points left over after TKM and Master Ranger.
Youwill lose Master scout and three trees.

Hi, I found this in the Weaponsmith Forum. It lists all the weapons by category and what the requirements are to use them. Hope this helps. Personally I'm using the Alliance Needler, but I'm only CL39.

I mastered both Carbineer and TKA (again) recently and the Elite Carbine is by far the best DPS carbine (but no elemental damage, if yu are into that kind of thing). I believe it is CL 50 cert and nothing else; I leveled all of Carbineer with it, and still use one to this day.
I used a blaster fist to level TKA (CL-40 cert). TKA is kind screwed in their weapon choice until master when they can get the Knucklers of the Katarn (by far my favorite weapon in the game).
When looking at both of those professions by themselves, I must say I love them both equally, but for different reasons. TKA has awesome defenses (but is lacking in specials) but Carbineer is pretty good offense and has a ranged KD and a Snare. I have been partial to both for 2 years, so I am a little biased
