Please excuse the n00bness of this question... but if you have a macro with /loot built into it, does that do the same work as "loot all"?

yep - in most cases it will -- but in the case of these critters you might want to be safe and use the radial. There have been some reports of having /harvest and /loot in the same macro breaking loots sometimes (though I've never experienced it myself), and you don't want to lose your uber trophy to something like this...

There was a rumor floating around that using the radial actually could result in better success looting certain items. For example, I was specifically told to use the radial when hunting for my spinner blades. After about 4 days of no luck from /loot or double clicking I looted 4 in under an hour using the radial loot method.

Coincidence? Maybe... I'm not 100% sure.

I doubt it as the radial just uses the same command line (/loot or /loot all).

There could be a bug or something going wrong but i havnt heard anything and have never really had any issues finding loot using my macro.

Ill keep an eye out on the corr boards for anything that pops up though.
