Thread: What the $#%# is a pop-tart?
I've been playing this game since launch. I initially wanted to be a CH/Ranger, but then the easier to master combat profs stood in my way. Wilderness Survival was really hard for me. Now before you ask why this newb didn't read the forums let me just say, you're reading the post of someone who didn't know that Talus wasn't the only planet in the game until 4 months after launch. I know what you're thinking, but really I can be not "blond" sometimes. Well, I am again picking up the Ranger profession and this time I plan on mastering it. But first i have 2 questions.
1. What is a good post-CU Ranger template?
I'm having the hardest time trying to set one up.
2. What the $%#@ is a pop-tart?
I'm not talking about the tasty pastry from Kellogs or the generic imitation that we've all come to know and love, either. I know it's slang for a trap, but which trap. I've been reading some cool things about it.
Any tips would be appriciated.

IMO, choose a ranged prof and master it - pick one that suits you best as any is a good choice - I personally like Carbs, but ANY ranged prof that suits your play style is just fine.
2. What the $%#@ is a pop-tart?

Look at your trap namesand think "If I had to call any one of these a 'pop-tart', which would it be? I'm lazy and call the kelloggs treat 'p-tarts' - being lazy like me can help you figure this one out.
Any tips would be appriciated.

sent you a PM about toaster pastries. we tend to not like to talk about that thing because it's the only really useful thing we have left, and it is as good as it is because of a bug in the game.
as far as templates go, any ranged profession would be great. Master BH Master Ranger seems to be fairly popular right now. Master Rifleman Master Ranger is a tried and true favorite among most rangers.
but honestly, ranger can be mixed with any combat profession to be effective.
