sounds like i gotta find me a DE on shadowfire who can do trapping droids. I am still wondering, will I, as a swordsman/ranger be able to solo krayts? or do I need a ranged profession?

Ok, I heard that you could solo a Kyrat Dragon,,,,,

I heard you need a trapping droid...

So I got one... Its a R4 with a trapping bonus of +48... i took it out for a go on a lvl 30 Bantha just to see what the deal was...

It went ok , I had to step in and save the wee fella but it did its job.....

My thinking is this. If it gets all messed up with a lvl30 bantha, how the hecky thump is it gona help me solo a Bid nasty monster like a Kyrat Dragon ???

Could some one pls help me with the way of the ranger

I was thinking I might have needed to be a MR for the conceal shot, is that what the deal is. Im BH/MRanger.....for my FS grind......

Any help will be magic.......

You won't be able to trap anything of a high level without a high trapping modifier.

Simpe as that.

Nothing level-based about it.

trapping droid only helps because it can lob traps further than Rangers (60m vs. 45m).

you're going to have to use tactics and the right traps for it to work at all.

but soloing krayts is very possible these days.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Trapping droid?

Why waste a droid tossing traps. Get a probot. It has ranged attacks and fires almost continuously. The level of damage is commensurate with the level of dragon - 40s on an KDA to 100 on a juvie. But hey, it is the constant drain that helps out.

My commands are, attack then follow. Once I have the dragon snared, the command is stay. I move to better see the dragon, and stay in back of the droid. Should said dragon break snare, he eateth upon the droid firstly. I toss pop tart and beatus feetus.

Somewhere someone posted that they used their trapping droid to tank the beasties...I belive that is what the poster is referring to.

While I haven't been real active since teh CU... I would suggest this.. Get a droid with teh following if you can...

1 Slot with Traps

1 Slot for Auto-Repair..

The rest Combat with the best HAM numbers you can get..

This way you set him to auto repair himself as he iis getting attacked and tossing trapos.. As soon as he is attacked he will shoot back and keep the beasts attention..

I have a pro bot that hits a krayt with about -30 every shot every 5 sec. I love it. I killed an Anceint in 15min.
