Hi all, was just wondering how some of you can tell what an area is like for fishing? i.e: vegetation and stuff. Is there a command that tells you?

There's actually one that's even better. A guy from my server called Orit Kelteel turned virtually the whole guide into a video, complete with inspiring music. Here's the link to the original thread but it seems that the link to the actual video no longer works

As far as I know you can fish anywhere if there is water. And you if are needing xp try to set up a camp close to the water and fish while you are still in the camp.

Still patiently waiting for the FU (Fishing Upgrade). As someone who actually enjoys fishing in this game for some unknown reason. But Volsteds thread teaches you how to power fish which does work.
For the original poster. There are 5 stars for vegetation and density. Perfect is 5 stars density 0 stars vegetation. The higher the density the more bites you get. The higher the vegetation the more often your bait gets stuck and lost.
And when you find that perfect location dont get to comfortable because they do move. And if you see a fountain in a town check it out. Sometimes the best locations are fountains. No im not making this up.

I do love going to the bridge that is directly opposite of the theed starport. Pop a camp right there, yea, it is fun.

The best one I found was on Corelia. Bela Vista I believe it was. It was a 4/0 location. Shame there wasnt enough traffic for anyone to notice.

Excellent idea! I am totally looking forward to the bemused looks on my Guildie's faces as their Leader fishes happily in the town sqaure!
