Thread: What exactly is the third Frontiering box good for?

Well, I'm still about a month away from getting Frontiering III....I'm really enjoying my new Field Base Kit, but it looks like training in Frontiering III will grant me absolutely nothing in the way of usable skills. What will +10 Camping do for me? Is it just a necessity on the way to the high tech camp kit?

I'm wondering if the Hunting Blind will be thrown into Frontiering III when the Ranger Patch goes up.

"What will +10 Camping do for me?"

- Well apparently you can use the High Tech Field Base at Frontiering III if someone else makes it for you

- However, you will not receive any experience off the HTFB as it is currently borked

"I'm wondering if the Hunting Blind will be thrown into Frontiering III when the Ranger Patch goes up."

- That's my guess. I presume they will spread the new camps out over the full Frontier branch

well, for one i think it's to make it take longer to get master ranger, since every other field goes up faster than you can blink.

i just reached master ranger last night, made the high-tech field base kit, and got 1350 XP for it after i disbanded it. worked for me, maybe you have to have frontiering IV to get XP from it, but only III to use it? who knows.

you also get more foraging, which gives you a higher chance of successfully foraging and, if it ever works, a higher chance at getting a rare item when foraging.

in the future you can almost gurantee that there will be at least one camp at each frontiering level, and i'm sure at least one camp at master ranger. the blinds camp seems too cool to put anywhere but master ranger, but that's just my opinion, probably because i'm alredy there

Well, I guess they have finally fixed that little bug. Very cool.

Hehe, I love it.....the highest amount of XP from a camp you gain at Frontiering IV...when you no longer need any Wilderness Survival XP.

melons

Hehe, the rare item thing is bugged, thats why you get the "some items were discarded due to us being too lazy or unwilling to fix and/or remove this feature" It goes something like that right?

This is a good thing if rangers like me with Frontiering II (or III) can purchase the HTFB and get more XP when camping. It allows Frontiersmen to make some extra cash, and lets me level a little faster.

Frontiering 3 doesn't take THAT long to get, I finished Frontiering 2 yesterday, and I am now 2/3 of the way up Frontiering 3. I expect to finish it tonight. 4 will suck, but shouldn't be too much worse.

Just set up right outside a high traffic town. The people waltzing through will give a massive XP boost and frontiering just flies by.

Alternatively, enlist PA members as XP slaves(gather some good blackmail material beforehand though).
