Not to "step" on toes of any other profession and knowing this will probably never be changed, but would one think that as Rangers we would be the one to get the:

Group Terrain Negotiation skill ??

I know, I know, Squad Leader has it, but when you sit and think about it... In everything I have ever read or seen, RL and in games the Ranger is the one to always be the one to "lead" a group of people through the wilderness finding the best possible path for ease and quickness...

I know this has probably been hashed over, but man this bugs me

IMO would just make us a valuable commodity to groups...

How many times have you been grouped only to outrun or have to stop and wait on group members for them to navigate small or large hills?

I know, I know, but still, I have always thought that one skill was misplaced and more inline with a Ranger than a Squad Leader...

I mean we get:

+5 Terrain Negotiation at Novice

+10 TN at Wayfaring I

+10 TN at Wayfaring II

+10 TN at Wayfaring III

+10 TN at Wayfaring IV

+5 TN at Master Ranger

A +50 in TN at Master Ranger, giving us the undisputed fact of being Master Terrain Negotiators...

I know, I am thinking logical and the game is exactly that, a game based on some illogical things

Leave this one alone. Let the Squad Leaders have it and make like its actually worth something. In a group of people Rangers can go the fastest, hands down. Which is good, let us get out there, see what's there, report back before the madding herd gets there, and if need be, get outta the way. What is it worth anyhow, half the time in any sizeable group you get bodies wandering off to shoot stuff for giggles, or they LD, or read email, or trade, or stop to send a tell.... sigh.... I go out front and see whats there. I never ever never "follow" anymore.

Yeah, I suggested this in a SL thread on main discussion board and got ripped a new arse for it. :\

Though I completely agree with the concept. This would make a Ranger valuable for grouping.
