Thread: Advice on maxing out my scouting xp
Well guys, I've got Wayfaring IV, and Bioscience III, IV left to get with 20k scouting xp already under my belt. That leaves 90k scouting experience left to aquire. Now, I had been taking it pretty leasurely at this point, but since it looks like they are going to increase the costs to get both these lines, I figure I need to see about getting as close to maxed out them as possible.
What I am *not* asking for, is a way to exploit my way or cheese my way to maxing these out. What I am asking for, however, is recommendations on the most effecient way to aquire 90k scouting xp over the course of the next week or two. I still need some trapping and camping skills too, but those are lower priority for me at this point.
Any advice?
It kind of depends on what your combat skills and preferred tactics are. Efficient kills = efficient scouting xp.
I would suggest looking for non-mission lairs of non-aggressive creatures that you know you can kill fairly easily, especially the herbivorous herd animals like krabhus, humbabas, banthas, bagerasets, etc. Naturally occurring (non-mission) lairs will spawn as many as 25 creatures before being exhausted, which gives you a lot of kills in one spot, i.e., less travel time.
Also, leave no corpse unharvested. Baby animals give less scouting xp now than they did before, but they still give something, and you can almost always one-shot them.
You'll probably get access to more corpses solo than in groups, unless you have a group that doesn't mind letting you have all the harvests.
I agree. Kill every blue con in your path, and go for non-agro whites and use those trapping skills to help. Don't use the skillmonitor and don't keep checking your progression every two minutes...you'll drive yourself nuts *twitch, twitch*. Have fun laying waste and harvesting for use. You'll be amazed at how much you can get for hides and bone on the bazzar!
