Thread: Really dumb trap idea...don't even read it
Just a thought I had a while back, but was knocked back in from reading another post. Most weapons are what? That's right! Energy weapons! *clap*
Now for a harder one...What comes OUT of the weapon?
Yes, you in the back. That's right! A laser! A gold star for you today.
If I was a laser, what would make me ineffective? No Billy, not mirrors. That would just make the laser shoot somewhere else.
Yes Denise (sorry, I think this is the hottest name ever)?Yes! Smoke!!!
Why not make a smoke bomb to scatter the effects of energy weapons (or heat, cold, etc..) forcing people ON BOTH SIDES to use kinetic weapons...you know the ones that don't do anything for damage? If things turn bad in a PvP situation pop one of these down, have everyone stand in it and get the heals they need before heading back out? It could be a portable "safe haven" so to speak. This would be a definate plus for PvP brawlers (who really need all the help they can get), and slow PvP battles down to an enjoyable time frame. Of course since we know all about animals, pets would be repelled by the smoke, but brawlers can get in and tear things up.
Aren't you glad you didn't read this?
and .......poof Im gone
I really like this idea, this would be a great addition to the trap line

Blasters in star wars are not lasers, they fire rounds made from Tobanna gas. They fire highly charged gas bolts. For more information see www.theforce.net.
Tibanna gas, and yes, they used blasters in the films. BUT in SWG we have both blasters and lasers. We also have several kinds of kinetic, pyrotechnic and chemical weapons.
heres another reason why not to
you think a medium pvp battle is hard enough for you frame rate and ping, start throwing smoke in there and watch what happens. hell my computer wants to crash when leaves start falling when im running over the plains.
what would be better is if we could use our exsisting traps on npc and pc. helll just because a bear trap was made for a bear doesnt mean its not going to hurt me.
