on Dathomir the spiders that usualy drop a nice ammount of insect meat, now only drop 1.

Aye, but the info may be server specific. Bria, Naboo... last night the insect meat drop was down to one unit per kill, and had different stats then kills from wed morning (which I was selling at 15 cpu on the bazaar... sigh)

What you are experiencing is the dreaded 24 hours during a resource shift. 
The amounts should be back to normal by the next day.

Yep, Herbi Meat on Corellia is changing again, looks like it will be better this time

Well, on the good side, they've managed to somewhat fix the "skinny" bug... everytime the server resets, the creatures stop dropping just 1 unit.
And by my count, the server resets about 3 times a day now.
