Thread: A /rescue story
I was hunting Ronthos and Banthsin the Western Dune Sea to get some herbivore meat when a novice carbineer asked me if he could join. Sure I said, just stay at a distance (I'm a swordman).
So we found a lair of banthas and killed the first spawn. We wait a little so mind get full and then I hitted the lair to get another spawn.
A matriarch appeared and a bull bantha. Easy task. I targeted the matriarch and then another bull bantha appeared and charged the novice carbineer who was too close.
I then remembered the /recue command that I never used (almost go solo all the time). I used /rescue as the carbineer was coming back to me and the bull bantha nowget onme. Time to take some muon gold i thought.
Just as I saved the carbineer, another bantha appeared and run to get the carbinner. /rescue
Another one, /rescue
Another one, /rescue
And so on...
I was wondering when those banthas would stop to appear when I noticed I needed some healing and that I was surrounded by about 10 banthas! That's when the carbineer went down due to a bantha I couldn't stop.
Things were going bad for me as my mind was less than half and I needed healing... /burst
I changed the camera angle to see if those banthas would leave me alone and that's when I ran in the middle of some desert demons...
I was getting upset and that's when I ran in the middle of some dune lizards... I had the whole western dune sea against me. Hopefully, I was able to get out of trouble.
So next time you take a newbie with you, be sure to tell him to stay far far far from you! ![]()
Anyway, that was a great hunting trip and the novice carbineer couldn't believe I was able to stay on my feet against that much opponents.
Gotta love being a Master Ranger / Swordman...
Roflmao.
Yes boys and girls, rescue is called "suicide" by anyone who has used it more than a few times.
And at least you didn't get a flight of rasps aggroing on you. Them lil peckers hurt.
