they say camo works 98% at master ... ha

camo isnt worth it right now. mask scent is just as good if not better considering youdont have to make the kit

Cammo kits are useless. I'd suggest 0-0-4-0 in ranger, like everyone else.

ahhh but camo are VERY good, IMO any way

they have to perks over mask scent:

1) they conceal you from NPCs

2) you can conceal other players, great if you are playing with some one who dose not have mask scent and you cna mask scent those AFK players who wait by arrgo MOBs

First I cannot Master Ranger with the skill points I have left. So I want to have fun and enjoy the perks of both Ranger and BH. I can either go 4/0/4/0 in Ranger and take 2 boxes in BH Pistol or only go to 2/0/4/0 in Ranger and take all 4 boxes in BH Pistol and get Torso Shot. I was just curious how much the camo kits and camo mods helped out with Ranger when hunting. If not a lot I am gonna take the BH pistol boxes. Any feedback is appreciated.

I was under the impression that camo kits did NOT work on NPC's. Have they come to their senses and made this happen?

That is correct... not any more. I had swoops see me and engage from 64m. Until this is changed we shall be religated to a dabbled profession.

Right. Camo kits no longer work on NPCs. While we were yelling and screaming there was a bug with some NPCs seeing us, the devs said that the "real bug" with camo kits is that theyactually worked on some NPCs. Ah well.

I think the Wayfaring/Cameo is a usefull tree to master. I use it all the time and find it much better then mask which seems to break at the worst time. It also does work for NPC's, I just used it this morning and was getting scout points when near some Red NPC's.
I find it very usefull when hunting solo, you can hunt something like a Fambaa by just shooting at it and running into a lair of Tusks who will attack the Fambaa, but won't touch you. I dont use a pet so using "Reds" to help me hunt large beast is a lot of fun

I tried using mask the same way, but it would fail to often.

This is horrible! I return to find my new title on the forum is "Jedi". What's up with that? If they wanted to confer that I'm rare and learned, they'd make my title RANGER. and then make it camo colored.

Camo was always spotty against NPCs. They have yet to 'fix' it.

- If you have poor faction, they ignore camo and attack.
- If you are neutral in regards to faction, camo works like we think it should.
- If you have high faction and it breaks, it will cause faction friendly NPCs to aggro you due to the "increased chance of aggro upon breaking" factor.

My personal opinion, as I have dropped the line twice, is that it is more hassle and more deadly to me than relying on maskscent and just avoiding NPCs.

Soon none of this will matter though. It won't work on any NPC at all.
