I was a proud Ranger. I enjoyed mask scenting/camoing and going wherever pleased. I enjoyed my HTFB and my broken Areatrack.I just was sad at the skill points sitting there wasting away. So, I said.. meh. Drop it and most of scout and try some other stuff.

I tried Dabbling in Fencer a bit. Kinda cool but not too much fun to gain xp on. I tried Master medic and a bit of doc and find myself today wanting to drop Novice doc and Medic to persue something else. From my xp in medic and a bit of doc, not to mention some forum browsing makes me think Doc just isnt for me either. Lots of complaining about barely breaking even on most aspects about money making.

/sigh Nothing was quite as fulfilling as my bent(but not completely broken) Ranger.Working on Rifleman is slow going so this has been a nice diversion but still. The main concern I was having was planet hopping looking for the good resouces and not finding them to hunt. Then, realizing that the bols on naboo have nice meat but hunting them with a low level rifleman conceal shot takes forever. And at only 100 or so meat to harvest a piece? /sigh

Currently without profession but I sure do miss my BE +17/+17 ranger clothes. *sniff sniff*

If it weren't for the skill points, I'd be the ultimate support profession. I'm ranger, some SL, some tka and I'd pick up combat medic if I could. I have to drop SL as it is though to master TKA. I do like dragging players out of the fray with my medic skills though

Come on back Kai.

We're still bent, but you know, you're not gonna be happy playing anything besides a Ranger.

Come on back Kai.

Heh.. I is back. Seems like slower going up the Trapping and Camping lines but its gettin there. Still a piddly scout.

Yeah, I hope by the time I make it back to Master there will be something better there waiting for me.

Oh, and Fred I did read your post and its a great idea. Will it happen? Who knows.Either way I will come back and enjoy my camo again. Tho, /concealshot does some nice things on Dath. Popping Escaped singing mountain clan from a distance is nice. I just hate going out to hunt and harvesting but getting no scout xp. Still capped out from dropping ranger. Hehe... When I dropped it all and harvested the first time I think it said You lost 160,000 scouting xp. Must have been just 16k tho.

Anyway... Anyone have any camp building macros?

Ranger is not a profession. It's a lifestyle.

i made one but it needs a 3rd party software. If you are going to try 3rd party macro some sugestions.

EXTREEMLY FLAT AREA... if the land has a minor slope there might be a problem. If a slight hill place yourself at the highest point.

zoom into first person mode.

without moving, place a camp, disband it, place another camp point cursor at vid screen, disband camp then start new camp with macro. if i don't do it that way the mouse cursor is never where it should be after a new camp appears.

once you have your cursor on the vid screen start the following macro

F1 (camp)

pause 40 min (works for me - don't know the optomised time limit)

mouse click (only part of the macro that requires 3rd party sofware)

`

2

pause 3

F2 (camp)

repeat steps between F1 and F2 until all camps used.
