Thread: Different prices for resources on servers?
Chimera is a fairly "new" server, the economy as such not as inflated as on others. From a quick dig through the according galaxy trade board it looks like it's around 8-10 cpu for avian meat depending on the quality.
But before you say 'unfair' etc ... don't just see the prices you can sell stuff for
. You need also take into consideration what stuff you buy costs you (I'd guess, much lower than on the servers where you can get the 80 cpu you said and more).
ppl charging 8k / buff at such low goingrates for meats (on eclipse you hardly need to sell good avian below 150 cpu anymore IF you take such contracts and buffs are also 8k usually) and debating to charge more (ppl there hurl out things like 15k for a set of buffs geez) because the evil hunters try to raise their prices to shockingly 20 cpu ... wow

I dont mind holding onto my stacks, im very liquid and have no need to short term income. I get by on the mission payouts and my SE savings account.
I would definatly class the avian meat market saturated at this time. It is recovering prety well from a couple of weeks back when nubian avian was going for 30 creds per in theed lol
Although recovering it is still around 50% (increasing around 5% a day) of its former self. Although docs do go through a hell of alot of avian the nubian shift was far too close to the pisro shift causing a price crash after initial shift. If the nubian stuff was to come into shift a week later or now for example we would have seen the 200 creds per last longer, instead of spiraling into downfall.
It will recover, thats no doubt, mainly due to like you said, avain is a quickly used up resource, but still the not so smart, eager sellers of their resources get hurt bad if they miss the boom. Its their fault for not playing the market correctly BUT it brings the prices down for the rest of the hunters.

You know what's funny about this 8 cpu thing btw?
Buffs seem to cost 8k on chimera, docs debate to rise the prices above that (10-15k heh) because of the evil 20 cpu ideas of some hunters.
What exactly is SO expensive on Chimera that buffs are 8k a pop when the usually most expensive component is so comparable cheap? On eclipse avian goes away for more than 100 cpu (200 cpu for the nabooian avian when it was new in shift), buffprices are: 8k (and most of the buffdocs at theed or coronet by now use buffpacks made from either the 150 cpu dath avian or the 200 cpu naboo avian).
