Rifleman for me i think. Pdarts and kneecap can stop a rancor in it's tracks.

The common wisdom seems to be Master Rifles, but personally after playing with master rifles for a while I got too worried not having an area attack. Yes, I know with the CU we rarely can use an Area Attack if we want to live so I dont use it often. But not having one just bothered me, probably just a hang over from per CU combat I couldn't unlearn fast enough.

Anyway Master Pistols has only 35 m range unless you get both cyber ranged arms and then you are at 50m (with slight loss of accuracy and defense). But even at 35 ranged I seem to do ok keeping away from melee critters but I run backwards alot more then with rifles. Admittedly at master rifles I took less damage with conceal shot, as master pistols I am often running and healing. You know maybe I should have stayed master rifles after all. LOL Any how stopping shot, master pistols combo seems to work well enough if you want to do it with pistols. PRobably the best combo isMaster Rifles for the conceal shot and ranged of 60 meters.

i have read a few of these types of threads, and the general consensus seems to be that if you are working on fs skills, and are dead set on keeping master ranger, then master bounty hunter is the only viable choice. i'm not sure whether creature handler would give you much survivability, but that is a choice also.
