Thread: Template Advice If You Please

Hello all, I'm currently a Master Ranger and 2442 Teras Kasi Artist and I find myself tempted by the dark side lol, i.e. Bounty Hunter. I know you see these threads all the time asking about various templates but I can't recall seeing one trying to decide between these 2, if there is I apologize and just chalk it up to being tired. Some of the pros and cons I see of each are...
BH Pros....
+250 defense with Improved Duelist Stance, variety of specials, ranged damage, fits with RPing a Ranger since essentially when we're out there on a hunting contract we're bounty hunting
BH Cons....
Jack-of-all-trades, master of none when it comes to weapons, don't have the +500 that Imp COB gives, nor the wound recovery
TKA Pros....
Innate armor at 6k as TKM, +500 defense through Imp COB, wound recovery
TKA Cons....
Lack of specials (though I've never had a problem but they do have less than BH), melee fighter so ultimately more damage taken (in theory anyways)
As it is now I can find assault armor with kinetic layers that gives over 8k resist to Kinetic damage, energy resist on that armor is about 4k but with a imp psg which I always wear for the boost in accuracy that still could put me over 6k energy resist for the first hit anyways lol. I know klikniks do energy damage so there's also primus layered battle armor with both kinetic/energy resists of 6500. Each suit is about a million and innate armor is free, I'm wearing a suit of battle armor now and after about 1.5 weeks my helmet and leggings are down by 20k condition, chest by 10k and all other pieces by 1-2k.
The fact I've got a unsliced Featherweight FWG5 pistol with base DPS of 365.45 is not helping the case for going TKA lol.
Any input or assistance will be GREATLY appreciated.

Which style of hunting do you find more fun? Both templates can work and both have their advantages. Pick the style of fighting you want and don't worry if it's not quite the "optimal". You can always switch when you get bored of one of them.
Also, while you might want to wear armor as a BH, you can use traps and some specials to keep the creatures from hitting you so your armor doesn't decay.

A bit of both actually, I've got 2 TKM's already so I guess it wouldn't hurt to just go BH on this character lol. I'll think about it some more.
