Thread: Camps do NOT repel aggro creatures. A tech support rep said so.

I am a ranger, who was wondering why my field base kit wasn't repeling aggro creatures, so I submitted a bug. The tech support response was 'Camps are not designed to repel aggro creatures'. My response was that it says in the description of the item that it should! He said 'If you are unhappy with this feature please submit a suggestion'. Either they screwed up and it's a bug, but they don't want to admit it, or it's not a bug and it's LAME. Either way it needs to be changed...

What's the big difference between a high tech superfragalisticexpialidocious duper duperfield base of doomand a plain old scout tent? about .30 in healing timeand an estimated 2384923742734 hours spent afk while grinding stupid camps.

people have had mixed results with this. Just yesterday, a tusken walked within 10m of me while i was in my camp and just walked away.

The fact that the Tusken just ignored you may have to do with the fact that you have good camoflauge??? That is if camoflauge is designed to camo you from npc's? Im just a novice ranger so I don't know if that works and don't keep too up to date on these forums.

Yeah definatly mixed reactions. I was in the highest scout camp and a mountain squill walked right into my camp and sat there, as soon as i disbanded it and began to run away, he agroed me.

then i was on Dath and a Baz nitch walked over and started hitting on me while i was in my first ranger camp. maybe some work and some dont.

either way...it needs to be addressed and fixed asap.

Sitting or standing still cuases NPCs to ignore you sooooo sit still. But I agree camps should keep aggros out of the camp radius.

Sitting in my 1st lvl Ranger camp as far away from town as I can get. Mountain squill walks up and slays me while I'm looking thru my pack for a wound kit. Thanks for the long walk devs.

On many occations I have played with this. I set up a camp as close as I can to a lair and watch to see if the critters are repelled. The red dots never even notice but the yellow dots ALWAYS have moved to 45m+ from me over a simi short period of time.

i was in a highly improved camp (I think thats the name) and was jumped by a mutant Womp Rat. He didn't last long but it was annoying.
