I posted this on the Eclipse board but never got any replies....

Ever since I stumbled upon an high level ranger camp (think it was high tech field) out in the Tatooine desert I've been trying to locate a supply of high level camps (I'm assuming that, like the low level camps, anyone can use them)

However searching the Bazaar I've yet to see any high level camps for sale, I dont know if this is due to the 3k limit but since the lower camps sell for sub-1k I have to doubt it at this point.

So are there any rangers on Eclipse (Tatooine preferably) that have a shop, or that supply a shopm or that are prepared to sell on the Bazaar or direct to me, and how much are we talking about per camp? (again assuming you dont need to be a ranger to use them)

It bogals my mind why anyone would have any interest in buying camps. If you can use them you have to be able to make them. If not please tell me.

I don't use them because of the healing problems. It takes petro and metals so those of us that are not miners have to buy that from the miners. Crafting skill is gained making them so (for me at least) so that bit is a waste as well. Their only real value, until the patch perhaps, is that they look cool. On top of that, they require a lot of skill setting them up, so you might buy one and not be able to use it. This is why usually if you see camps in the bazaar it's the lower ones (usually theHQ).

yes, you can use them at lower stages then you can make them.

Very likely it was one of mine, particularly if it was out by the WSi PA - I'm not on Tatooine much, but when I am, it's usually there. I can have one of our merchants put a couple up for sale, but I really doubt you can use them. I've heard rumors that somebody with Frontiering 3 can use one, but since you only need to expend two more skill points (and wait another 80K xp) after that to make them, I don't see the point.

If other folks could use these camps, I would have sold literally hundreds over the last couple of weeks.

So are we saying that we _know_ that non-rangers cant use these, or that what you expect to be the case?

Anyone on Eclipse wants to throw me a ranger camp I'd be happy to test :-)

I know personally that non-Rangers can't use Ranger camps. I've tried giving High Quality and Field Bases to other players to use and they can not deploy them. I also carry around a High Tech Field Base given to me by another Ranger that I can NOT deploy(I'm almost done with level 3 of the camping tree in Ranger). I could not use Field Bases until I was able to make them and couldn't use HQ Camps until I could make them as well.

On SS, I've given High Techs to novice rangers and they can deploy them. There is no point though, they don't heal and they don't give exp.

That's really odd, I'm on Sunrunner and carry a High Tech Base around and can't deploy it because it says I lack the skill to deploy it(as I stated I'm almost down with Frontiering 3 or whatever it is in the Ranger Section of Camps).

Send me a tell or an email and I wll set you up with all the Field Bases you need. I am very reasonable as these are relatively cheap for me to make.
