Thread: Start fixing Ranger

The ranger profession got a silent nerf. I saw it the minute I tried a High Tech Field Base camp out, and then disbanded it. I was awarded experience. So I put down a second one, sat in it for a few minutes while chatting to some folks in my PA. After five minutes or so I left the camp, and within a minute it fell down because I wasn't holding the poles up.
The HTFB not disbanding was the ONLY useful thing in ranger yesterday. I was not admired by my groups because I could put up a great circus tent with flashing lights. That camp was a lifeline and a strategic tool. We rallied at the camp. We ran back in for mind healing, while others in good condition continued the fight. Ranger is now entirely worthless. If the devs don't want to fix this class soon, I suggest they just scrap it and put their efforts elsewhere.
I don't really want to re-skill on something else. I'd like ranger to work as much as the next man. But because virtually NOTHING in this class works, we are few in number and small in voice. Other than the stealth nerfing, we were paid no direct attention in the mega-patch. The devs will basically get back to us "real soon now" after they deal with all the class issues of the classes that a large number of people are playing. This is an SCS game, not one in which I can have a ton of alts on the same server as my friends. It's do or die time. Fix ranger or junk it.

ive been working on Frontiering for a week now just to get the HTFB, now that i hear this i am very discouraged. Its completely pointless to pop upa nice camp...just to have it fall down again the minute you fire a shot. Let me just sit around and wait for my group to be done fighting, what a great class.....its so much fun to sit around and wait for your group to finish the fight....hurray
