Thread: Post Ranger Patch Info Here:
Here's what I've noticed thus far:
- Forageis still bugged and still gives the (no room in pack) error message.
- Camp chairs/terminals are no longer "pick-up" items. (thank goodness)
- Maskscent no longer gives xp, but it is much more difficult to break from yellows
- Searcing lairs seems to give resources seperate from what we can forage (lame)
If you've noticed anything else... post it!

If Maskscent no longer gives XP, is the 60 second timer still there?
On that note, I realized that Maskscent gave XP relative to your combat ablity and the creature in question. As I went up in combat skills, I got less XP from the same mob. Anyone else confirm or deny this?

t see aggr's untill im almost on top of them, the
"You have Recieved 4xp of Scouting Experaince"
Flashing in front of me has saved my life more than anything except maybe burst run
Mysery, that argument is so old and tired I don't even hear Xion beating his chest about it anymore. All Rangers are Master Scouts so the scout issuesDO affect us. And anything that affects Rangers should be discussed in this forum.
As to the maskscent exps, I won't be missing them. I can confirm that as my combat ability as a swordsman and a rifleman have increased my scouting xps from maskscent has been in the single digits.
Faction seems to be working again...
You can now again - gain/lose - faction while fighting certain mobs.

Sarcasm is soooo lost on some people..
You see Tsion, what i was doing in my own subtle little way, was trying to cleverly illustrate the lackluster benifits of the ranger class as a whole. By emphasizing the fact that most/all of the problems were scouting problems, i was using highlighting the fact that very little is actually gained by becoming a ranger, and therefore, very little can actually be changed or accidentaly affacted.
Reposted from my post in another thread...some camping XP numbers here:
Numbers here for you:
- High Quality Camp Kit
- Two people in a group including myself(ie me grouped with one other person)
- Camp up for approximately 10 minutes
- No wounds on either of us
- Only action performed was my foraging until I got the "No more items in the area" message
Total exp after 10 minutes of up time is approximately 1k.
I was pulling in about 450 to 600k exp under the same conditions prior to the patch. However, my experience solo seems to be roughly the same, perhaps slightly increased, as it was pre-patch. So I think the single person xp multiplier has been slightly increased, and a decent increase on the xp multiplier if multiple people are in teh camp/grouped(ie you should max out faster with more people in there)
Also, wound healing seems to speed up the xp gain rate as well, but just sitting there solo doing nothing seems to gain you almost no new benefit while having others there and/or healing up wounds does in fact increase the pace. That would make sense if it does work that way since it would still discourage the macroers but provide more benefit for those who actively camp.

Rangers have NO abilities except the much vaunted Rescue, so there is nothing to break/fix in this patch
Now you claim sarcasm, after someone calls your bluff. Too little, too late.
Rangers are always scouts, so we should be able to discuss scout issues and ranger issues on the ranger messageboards.
I think Tsion was trying to say that I've beaten that sarcasm sick dog topic to death about a billion times to the point where its all just a glazy donut of disinterest at this point... bringing it up again is like using the term Rescue Ranger ..... ONE..... MORE...... TIME....
Is that how you'd see it Tsion?? ![]()
