What's up with this camp? Sure it's big and ppl gawk over it, but seriously, it offers little to no advantage over a small camp. Yes, it has crafting stations and a 1.0 heal modifier, but what's the point of making it huge? Not to mention the camp doesn't heal and has disband problems (I can not take it down, and steal all the chairs and use them for furniture, and it will stay up for hours). There needs to be more in these things, it's a base, not even a camp. Essentially it's a basic camp with a 1.0 modifier. I think a neat idea would make the camp last multiple hours when set, and maybe put a temporary cloning station in it. Mine as well walk into one of those metal rooms =).

Its for putting on top of a hill and having people say, "**edit** nice 7-11 you got going on here". Seriously, its a cool looking camp but its for the most part worthless. I use the small camps because the amount of resources to build the high-tech is just crazy....

Well it now autodisbands. Likely the bug that broke the healing on it also kept it from disbanding. No more semi-permanent shelter for us :/

Other than the bugs, it holds a lot more people. Interestingly, the psychology of 'personal space' seems to apply in games. Ever seen a group of people try to stay within a scout's camp? funny sight. There's still much room for improvement however.

For those complaining about the camp not disbanding, hell that was the feature I loved most about it, set up the base, go out hunting, come back when you need to heal, go out again, no more having to set up a **edit** camp each time, or having it disband on you because a creature got to close and started attacking you.

Hell yesterday before the ****** heads nerfed the sh*t out of everything the perimeter fence actually seemed to be working and keeping away the animals... today the camp sucks **edit** big time, auto disbands the same as every other camp now, doesn't keep out anything like it's suppose to ... had hermit spiders wondering in and attacking me... the resources to build the **edit** thing every hour is just f*****d... yah yesterday the camp rocked... today after the patch it blows goats just like the people who chose to "fix" it.

Deathtoll,

Yours is a helpfull post and you are obviously pissed, but I can barely read with with all the edits. Pick different words so I can actually read your post. It's not that I care about your word choice, I just hate reading "**** **** **** ***" cause I dont know what you are saying.

Otherwise, I wanted to say I feel your pain. I was able to get one of my HT camps to heal wounds today, but I had another one that didnt. The fact that its random makes it even more irrating.

Actually yesterday I was mostly sampling but after an hour or so I got bored and would go out hunting for a bit to break up the monotony, had my camp up for about 8 hours, probably longer since I left my char logged in right up to the patch, and while creatures were spawning and wondering around... not once in that amount of time did any of them... spineflappers... spiders... plains hunters... shaupauts (greater, regular and hunter) all spawned around me near my camp... none... not one of them ever in all that time entered my camp... yet today, in the exact same spot (had a waypoint for sampling from the other day) I laid down my camp, and twice got attacked my spiders then by a spineflapper... my camp that appeared to be repelling creatures the day before now was useless... and after testing out the auto disband due to hunting, moving to far from camp and timing out (decaying ?) it was even more useless to me due to the amount of resources required to make the **edit** thing.

Now I don't know how many of you go camping or set up a camp when hunting but damnit not once did my camp ever ... sorry bout this ... f*cking disappear on me in real life. I mean not once did I ever go walking down a trail for an hour and come back and say 'where the hell is my camp, oh yah that's right I was gone for over an hour guess I haveto rebuild it.' I mean come on people use your brains... this may be StarWars but damnit how bout a little more reality with some of these things.

I mean take CH for a min. if in real life my hunting pet ever and I mean ever ran back to me in the middle of a battle because it was hungry or wanted to Play! I would shoot it dead on the spot, harvest the skin, bones and meat after the battle and get another pet because that one was obviously brain dead anyway, in the game I can only assume the person who programmed the pet's AI is brain dead, how else can I explain it.

I was fairly certain this was a bug due to the broken healing, so this doesn't surprise me much. Thing is this bug was actually a fairly cool idea. 55 metal and 35 polymer is not really a lot. A crafting station made by an arhcitect costs 500 resources...but it has the benefit of being permanent.

-Please remove the auto-disband due to combat or leaving the camp on the HTFB. I'm not sure if this is possible to code in, but if so please seriously consider it. This is supposed to be a "base" after all. Usually people are supposed to be able to defend their "bases" without it falling immediately apart on them.

Leave the time duration auto-disband, which basically means we get to keep the camp up for 1-1.5 hours unless we choose to manually disband it via control panel.

Having to build yet another HTFB simply because we got attacked 30 seconds after setting up camp is kind of tedious.

Actually the thing that I liked the most about this camp was that it didn't time out after and hour or so, after setting it up and finding out it wasn't going to disband on me unless I disbanded it myself I took to looking on it as my temporary home since I have yet to purchase a house because I don't yet won't to be tide down to any particular planet and being a wanderer is what I want my char to be, so being able to build a camp that didn't go away until I wanted it to was really great. Gave me a sense of having made a small if temporary impact in the game... had over 22 visits to my camp not counting my comings and goings.

Imagine hunting on Endor... Dathomir... Dantooine or Yavin4 and setting up a base that stayed up for as long as you wanted/needed it to and having people discover it and make use of it while you were out hunting. I know the one I had established on Naboo kinda gave me a much more sense of belonging as a Ranger than a house ever is going to and probably would have given me a greater sense of that if the same thing had happened on any of the more remote planets.

I say make the HTBK semi-permanent again so that it only disbands when you tell it to... when YOU want to move on and hunt further away or on a different planet. No after having my camp up for over 8 hours and feeling like I was actually making a dent in the fabric of the game is not something I will ever get from having a house or doing any missions, that feeling of finally being able to say ... this...is...mine... yah sure I can rebuild the camp every hour or every couple hours, but to have something that stayed there even after you logged to get some RT sleep, was still there when you logged back in to play some more... that can't be replaced.

death,

Your post is valid, but if you were running back and forth to the high tech field base before the patch, hate to tell ya but it wasn't healing you, nor was it repelling red mobs. Repel never worked before and it doesn't now.
