My group experience is virtually nil. I hunt solo 99.99999% of the time. So harvesting in a group is something I have almost no experience with.

So I just want to make sure I have the proper understanding:

If I am grouped with another Ranger, and we kill something together, do we have the ability to both harvest the same type of resource, i.e. can we both harvest Hide? Or does he have to harvest something different than what I've harvested?

I have long been under the impression that it's the latter: If I harvest Bone, then you have to harvest either Hide or Meat. But I'm beginning to suspect that this is incorrect.

No, you can both harvest the same thing, or you can harvest different things, from the same creature, whichever floats your boat.

Either way, you still get less output when harvesting in groups (something like 60% per harvest) which, added together, is 120% of what you'd get alone! w00t!

That is indeed incorrect.

Each Scout in the group has the option to choose any resource to harvest off a corpse that the group killed.

• However,each of youwill only receive 60% of the regular ungrouped quantity.

In total, two Rangers will be able to harvest 120% of a single corpse... But individually they receive less.

Nope, it's the former. If there are 3 Master Rangers, they can all harvest the same resource at the same time from the same animal.

By my silly math, if 3 Master Rangers all harvest hide from the same animal, they get 180% of a normal master harvest. I have seen two Masters, myself and Symkin do this, with a load of other scouts harvesting also. We got a load of hide in no time.

Of course, if you are not grouped, one person harvests and no one else gets squat.
