So, I just made glow-wire traps and am gaining an absurd amount of xp. I was on lok tonight and was getting 500+ trapping xp every time I tossed a trap on these elder snorbals. All you need is for a budy to tank the beast while you heal him and chuck as many glow-wire traps as you can at it. They don't put a state on the animal like blind or stun, so they can be chucked, one after the other, and you'll get an absurd amount of trapping xp in no time.

Forgive me if this has already been stated, but it was quite a stunning realization.

Another great tactic to grid trapping is to make a couple of crates of adhesive mesh traps and phenicine darts. The mesh is a root (holds them in place) and the darts a snare (slow the mob down). Using both together will mean that you can keep the mob from ever getting to you (provided you pay attention for the -rooted- and -snared- messages so you know when to re-root/re-snare). While the mob is rooted you can toss glow-wire, flash bombs, etc on the mob. I got all of trapping IV off of one fierce piket protector in about 30 minutes by a careful application of traps in this manner.

slinking voritor hunters give 910 trap xp with glow wires. was in a group of 3 and the other 2 (and my pet) were attacking it. since i am a master pistoleer and didn't need any xp all i did was sit back and throw traps. i manged to get 30k trapping xp in about 10 minutes. it was great.
