Ranger Archive

I havent played for at least 2-3 months, when I stopped I was about 1/4th of the way to master. I probably could have been much farther if I had done one thing differently, which is to stop switching weapons all the time. I seriously couldnt/still cant decide what to use. Ive tried rifle, carbine, 1h & 2h swords, and polearms, and most of them multiple times, but I still haven't been able to decide on a weapon choice. What weapons do you use, and why do you like them, or better yet why do you think they work better with the Ranger class. BTW I'm a wookie if that means anything(i only say that because I've been seeing more cries about the wookies on the boards the past few days that ive been back, and i dont understand whats wrong with them, so just throwing it out there.)

Although Rifleman seems to think they are the natural choice for Ranger, Ranger goes well with any combat skill. Just pick one you like and stop worrying about what's best. 'Best' is purely subjective anyways.

I'm not worried about best really. Its just that most of the classes I've tried always have annoying little drawbacks. For example, I would have loved to stay with rifle when i tried it, but the bug that made you warp back when you went prone pissed me off so much that i was forced to drop it to keep from throwing my computer out the window. 1h swords are what im currently using, but for some reason im just not liking it a whole lot. I would be very content with a plain average(maybe even a little below average)combat class with little to no bugs.

Well, they fixed the rifleman cover and conceal shot thing so you may want to give that a try again.
