Rancor's Social, i have never hunted them yet. just look to F'ing big to take daown with my little ole scatter.....

Peko peko albatross drop a fair bit of wooly. 600 or so I think. Bit of a tough time finding them though.

Could anyone point me to some big creatures that drop a lot of wooly hide (preferably 300-500 per body) and that would be easy enough to find and not incredibly hard to kill? I know that gurrecks drop wooly hide, but they are very hard to kill (I don't have a pet to tank for me and traps don't work very well on gurrecks). I also know that Thungs (sp? Elephant looking creature on Dantooin) are dropping a lot of wooly hide (300-400 per each) but they are VERY hard to find. Same with Peko Peko Albatross (well, they are also very hard to kill). Other then that, I don't know any big creatures that have wooly hide.

If you can find something thats easy to kill and drops 300-400 hides let me know never heard of them if they exist.

Anything that drops over 100 of any unit, probably cons red, and will be harder. While I can solo almost any MOB's 1v1 in the game most are social.

I only got 172 leathery hude off of a fat rogue fambaa that had 10k health...so I wish you luck in your quest.

I like killing Banthas for wooly hide. They only drop maybe 50-75 at a time I think, but they are reletively easy to kill, and they are not pack hunters. You can find then on tatooine, go to a mission terminal and get a bantha mission, Vioala!! Instant Bantha. You may need to invest in a pet like aCowardly Gurreck or a Dalrayke Harvester nowm,before the nerf and get your hunting in. That will help alot.

Well, I didn't say easy to kill, I said not incredibly hard to kill I like to be challenged. And for me most of the creatures that drop 100 units con either white or yellow. For an easy enough targets that drop over 300 hide try Rancors (I suggest enraged bull rancors), thungs (or maybe they are thongs? sp?). For creatures that are not that hard to kill and drop over 500 hide try kimos and ancient bull rancors, but both are hard to find.

I spent total of about 8 hours on Dathomir hunting rancors and I have over 50K hide in my back pack right now (they are easy too kill). And with a way that maskscent/conceal works after the latest patch it's not hard to solo social animals.
