as the topic says...Ide like your thoughts about it..since Im a novice rifleman, upcoming architect, almost master scout, and emergency medic. And another thought about how ranger would be in pvp (especially rebels vs imperials scenarios)

Coincidentally enough, I addressed this very issue a few days ago in another post. Rather than hashing it all out here again, just click on this link. That contains my thoughts, and subsequent discussion from others, and it should answer your questions.

Ranger doesn't really add much to PvP aside from the nifty ability to track players with Area Track. It won't make you a better combatant in PvP. But, then again, it won't make you a worse one either.

The general consensus of the Rifleman forum is that Rifles are EXTREMELY challenging for PvP until you hit Master Rifleman, at which point the world is your mollusc assuming you don't play stupidly (i.e. fighting without a helmet, going prone in PvP, etc). The rate of fire for a Master Rifleman is significantly faster than the rate of fire for non-Masters. And at Master Rifleman you get one of the Rifleman's signature moves: Strafe Shot 2, a x5 damage AOE Dizzy special that can be devastating with a sliced and powered up T21.

So, to sum up:

Non-Master Rifleman in PvP = teh suxx0r
Master Rifleman in PvP = teh r0xx0r
