I've tried using a general item crafting station to make a schematic for traps (so I can build them with a factory) but it's not giving me the option to create a schematic.

Am I doing something wrong? Or is this not possible?

Man, that frustrated the heck out of me too. After 2 hours of it I got on another server and asked a friend; You need to use the EXACT crafting tool as the station you're standing by. IE: Use a Weapons and General crafting tool (Or whatever it is) and stand by a Weapons ad General crafting station. You should get the option. Good luck
