Thread: Peko giving deathblow
Anyone else finding that if you get incapped by something, it keeps coming for you as soon as you get up? I was hunting Pekos and decided to try my luck against a giant Peko, it conned red but the regulars are getting easy now and I wanted a challenge. Anyway, I got it down to 300 Health when it finally incapped me, then it sat over me and as soon as I got up it hit me again, and then repeat, third incap in 3 minutes, clone time. I wasn't even able to get a shot off. I also noticed this behavior with some other creatures earlier, but they wandered away so I had the chance to hit a stim and start shooting before they got to me.
I just noticed this continuing aggression thing recently and thought that it was tied into a DOt attack still being active, but the third time the Giant Peko wasn't bleeding anymore and it still came for me. Any thoughts???
This happened to me, too! I haven't gotten used to MaskScent holding during combat again, so out of habit, I hit my MaskScent key as soon as my incap wore off. That removed my MaskScent, and the non-aggro critter pounced on me and incapped me (as my Health was 5 at the time, no big trick).
Next time, I kept my finger away from the MaskScent key, and was able to move away and regenerate health.
It does seem to be new behavior. Think we should /bug it, or is it "working as intended"?
I was reading in another forum on how the NPCs seemed to be "acting smarter". I think the AI controlling the beasts and NPCs had an upgrade as well, making them smarter and meaner.
I think the prudent thing to do when recovering from being incapped is quicky maskscent if not already and leave the area until you can heal enough to finish off the targets.

As for the peko camping you... that eats hard. I was camped by an elder bordok, that was a harsh day on Endor...
The ranged attacks are indeed new for many creatures. In fact some of them have so much better range attacks than melee attacks that you will findthem retreating from you (if you are a tank)in order to set up for their ranged attack.
Gotpretty funny one night when I was hunting kliknicks on Yavin 4 and they kept running from merather than engaging me but they weren't kiting me because they werenot spitting while they were moving. They would stop and turn to spit but by that time I had closed the gap again so they turned and ran again. We must have gone 100 m that way before it finally gave up and turned to fight me claw to sword. At which point, naturally, it was paste. ![]()
