Thread: Quick (Noobish) from a Non-Noob

I've been playing a Ranger for awhile now but just go to the point where I'm interested in building camo kits, traps, and camps in bulk. So, here's my noobish question:

What, if any, effect does experimentation have in the crafting process for:

(a) camo kits;

(b) traps; or

(c) camps.

I suspect that experimentation has no effect on camps, little or no effect on traps, but may have some effect (maybe the possibility of increasing the number of uses) on camo kits.

Thanks for your help.

Experimentation can no longer be done on camps, or traps, however.....on camo kits they have a very important use. Say you craft a camo kit..you will make a kit wiht about 5-10 uses roughly. With experimentation, you can almost double the uses out of each one you make.

Thanks.

You know, this board is definately the most helpful, least flame-happy board on the official site.

I wonder what makes Rangers so cool?

As an addition, the material you use to make camo kits does matter. The better the hide/bone/meat in the OQ category, the more kits you will make without experimenting, which means more kits with experimenting.

And if you can find a private crafting machine that has a high rating, you are in fat city. Got 18 kits out of one crafting last week, on a friend's machine, using really decent stuff.

I tend to hoard the good stuff for kits.When I find stuff with decent stats, I harvest a lot of it and store it for later use. Not much call for some of the stuff, even if there is, too bad, I come first.

And I like camo, as attested by the fact I played "Tag" with two enraged rancors and did not get ate. Now if the stupid Nightsisters would be fooled...

With a good crafting tool and even average resources, you can easily hit 15 charges on camo kits.

I know what makes ranger so chill... you have to be chill to be willing to go to the middle of nowhere on some random planet and run around killing things! Sounds like fun to me!!
