TKMaster-Doc

The title says it all. I'm a new ranger, not master yet just got novice yesterday. Damn that trapping. Anyways my template before this was TKM/Master Swords/doc4000. I was a badass in PvP and PvE. But I couldnt make enough money, and i was getting very bored.

I was thinking of Ranger/TKM, but then I wouldnt be able to heal myself like I did before. Healing is a plus, it helps out alot. I wanted TKM because of the free armor, 6000 across the board is just too much too let go. Plus I would get powerboost+500 health and ICOB +500ranged and melee defense. I would also be able to use the Katarn Knuckles still.(but i need money to get them ADK'ed)

I guess I would be able to use stims, maybe get myself a medical droid to help me out?

If I don't go TKM/Ranger, what should I go as?

I heard it is better to master another profession and not dabble from one and another.

Hmm that's an interesting idea. Guess you'd have to make sure you have some good pets though since they'll be doing all your killing.

Up the time period between the CU respecs and the token respec I was a Pikeman/Ranger, I dropped Ranger for Swordsman over the course of a doubel xp weekend. I found that template to be very underpowered (though I think any profession combined with Ranger will suffer somewhat).

I miss Ranger though so I created a toon on Lowca that is going Rifleman/Ranger, but I haven't mastered scout yet.

Many people seem to like CH/Ranger, I have started CH a half dozen times and it is too slow for me, despite the concept being very appealing.

If you want to keep TKM that'll work. I use 1.2k stim d's and ruby bliels when getting hit too hard, so I can heal about 5-6 times or more in one fight until I get full of drink. Seeing as you'll hit decently with TKM and have good health with spice + power boost you ought to be okay in some regards. You'll only have 4 points left over when you master TKM/MRanger, so you can exactly put those to use too well.

If you stick to melee though, I can't give much more advice on a different profession, as I've always been ranged. I've told other folks MBH gives good damage output with decent protection, but as you say, you'll always be slightly gimped as a Ranger. Seeing as you'll not be able to PVP too well once you master it.

Ranger / Bounty Hunter is still my choice. lots of special attacks, pluse the trapps, bleed shot, andknock down.
