Hi all,
I've been at this game since its inception and would ya believe I'm finally posting? I'm currently winding down the grind to Master Ranger and was wonderinghow the XP I'm pulling in rates. I've found that I can get about 250,000 scouting XP in a little over an hour in the Mydrill (sp?) Caverns on Kashyyyk by taking out those week little Uwari beetles (which have a lovely respawn rate by the way.) Now I know from my days of grinding BH that 450k/hr was more the norm for heavy weapons and the like, but I'm curious as to the scouting XP. I'm not one for groups (where I'm sure I could be doing better XP), so is 200-250k/hr decent for scouting XP? Anywhere better around? Thanks for any input!

That sounds decent, but what is your CL? I ask because I got about 400k in about 30-45 mins just killing off borked spawns of gaping spiders and reptilian flyers on dath. Of course, I'm master ranger with cl 80, and they might be a bit tough for you (think they are cl 60-70 'ish there and they did incap me when I agro'ed 50 or so at once - oops).
But you are exactly where you want to be - high respawn or high density of critters that you can take down relatively quickly = tons of scouting xp. Just if you can find a spot with higher CL critters that you can handle with relatively little danger to yourself, then you'll do a little better xp wise.
One other tip is to make your harvest macro just /harvest without the resource type behind it. This means if you're just harvesting for xp (and don't care about the resource type) you won't need separate macros to deal with things that only have meat, etc.... /harvest by itself just grabs a random resource type from those available on the critter's corpse.

I'll be going in there this week. Let me check and see.
I did find that going down with a group on Kashyyyk makes the grind a lot faster. Helps immensly if they are Rangers. They understand.

If you are out to level at a good pace and enjoy yourself that is not bad. If you are out for raw level or xp grinding then the fastest way is to join a Jedi AOE (sber spinning fools) group which is just insane xp)

I was in one of those groups and to be honest it was difficult to keep up with the harvesting things were dying so quickly - and they tended to be stacked on top of each other as well, so I think I ended up harvesting even less stuff overall than in a quick but more regular group. Definitely though, the experience gained by harvesting in a full and efficient bol hunting group on Dantooine is pretty decent.
