hiya im a recently new addition to the rangers of corbantis and i was wondering if i should waste some of my time and grind the trapping tree

before phenix can beat me to it - yes. with proper tactics and correct use of the right traps you are a hunting machine.

Well it depends, I'd say.
Why are you a Ranger? If you're a Ranger to hunt all manner of beasties, traps are your best friend. I can solo any animal in the game. At this point, I get mad when a creature with no ranged attack hits me. I've solo'd many a GDK and Gorax without getting hit. I don't wear armor against critters anymore...it's simply pointless, as I get hit very few times unless I'm in a group and i draw aggro without a trap ready.
If you're a Ranger to get scouting XP to get a Jedi...well first of all, you're not going to be a very good Jedi since you'll be stuck with mods that do absolutely nothing for you as a Jedi and when the FRS starts, you'll get beat by those who choose their trees wisely. But if you're going Ranger for the XP conversion, I'd say no, you don't need trapping. It's a 200k XP difference, but with more combat skills, you'll be able to get XP faster, so I'd say you might as well just not grind it.
