I like the ideas, especially have traps that do multiple tasks.

It has been promised to us that traps will be fixed someday. I will not hold my breath, as I will turn all blue and pass out.

These are good ideas, I like em personally. The lure idea was discussed before, but the second trap is cool.

As to trapping NPCs and pets, maybe someday. I hope, as it balances CHs. As to Players, I doubt it, but we can hope (we would be too uber in PvP, regardless of the fact that Ranger is seldom used as the primary in PvP)

Novice: Tricnaprine Dart -- Area Effect. Combination of Lecaprine poison and Phecnaprine slowness.

Adv Trap I: Lure -- An improved version of the stink bomb that will only affect the creature hit and willnot aggro the rest of the pack. When the trap goes off, it causes confusion and will force the creature to wander away from the pack toward where it was thrown.

Adv Trap IV: Phosphorus Mesh -- Single Creature. Works as a combination glow-wire trap and adhesive mesh plus a DOT effect as it constricts the creature's body.

Master: Traps affect NPCs and Players.

Well when you weigh in diseases (bio-terrorist attacks from CMs)... and consider that Rangers do not possess any special attacks, I do not think it would make us "uber" at all. In fact, I think it would provide us the balance we need because Master Rangers are not tanks by any stretch.

Throwing a trap causes you to pause, which is generally a liability in combat, esp PvP. There is of course a "saving throw" against the trap working on you. And it's only effective w/in 40 m. Considering that the effects of traps aren't all THAT "uber" to begin with, I don't understand the hesitation.

Throughout skill tree of scout and ranger trapping: increase in trap speed throwing, increase in trap effectiviness duration

Other classes get increases in speed and damage/effects, like carbineer or pistoleer. Why should we not get equal increases in speed and effectiviness of using our "weapon" the trap.
