Have we ever thought about a weapon similar to what the M-203 Launcher is? Its a M-16 with a gernade launcer mounted under it. This could kill 2 birds with one stone. 1) We get a Ranger specific weapon. 2) We get a trap launcher that we can stick a whole stack of traps into like a fishoing pole. Make it available only to Master Rangers and give the weapon an under-used type of Damage like acid or something. Just a thought but it is a little different consept then the bow and arrow or blow gun theory. Also I think it fits into the "creature-centric" concept that the Devs have. As you could launch netsor goo or whateverat Mobs to capture them like we have been disscussing to sell.

Such a change would require some form of Marksman prerequisite, and being a Melee player myself, does not sit well with me.

The Trap Launcher request is in the Outdoorsman proposal, loadable with traps, just as you described.

How isa 203 a hunting weapon? What are we hunting - freaking light armored vehicles? And it's grenade, as in 20mm. I know whereof I speak, I carried one for quite some time.

First off, maybe the M79 concept, as a trap thrower, is a viable idea. Except, have you seen the size of the traps? Some are very large.

Can the M203 idea... half of us don't use rifles. The bow and arrow idea makes sense, as it can be fashioned from native materials by non artisans. I am not into going to see a weaponsmith for a profession specific weapon. I am not trading an arm and a leg, or more precious parts, forthe smith to make a weapon maybe 5% of the population can use.

Then again, can we get a Mark 19, the automatic 20mm grenade launcher? Let me have one of those and an AT-AT to shoot at. Heh heh heh. I would even settle for a Ma Deuce.
