Thread: Problem with forage (after becoming a ranger)
After I got the Frontiering I skill, I'm getting the following message sometimes:
"You manage to forage succesfully"
"Your container was full and some of the foraged items were discarded"
Usually this means that I get nothing. Odd thing is that this message can come when I only have 20% of items in my inventory, or less.

Yes... That is a problem that has been around longer than any Ranger can remember.
It is on the SotP, and was one of the Top 5 bugs reported to the developers.
Actually forage is not broken. It works just fine.
It's the results of forage that are broken. The Devs have not programmed in the elusive "rare items".
It is widely believed that the "container" message means you foraged a rare item, but as there are none, you get doodly squat.
Sigh.... the other night I actually foraged 3 items on one shot, all fairly usable. I seldom use forage, but when I do, I wish it would work right.

Yes forage doesn't work and indeed the problem becomes worse the higher you go up the ranger tree, but don't worry because next moth tents will be made uselessas pepole won't need them to pull out pet/vechicles/droids, tracking and wayfaring are already usless due to vehicles.
In fact the only thing that is of any use whatsoever is that you get to take a little bit more hide/meat/bone than scouts and you can see slightly more of the creatures stats, so thank sony for the HUGE skill points and amount of time it takes to get camping for a proffession that basicly does nothing.
