Just a question to the masses in general
How many Rangers have or are planning ot add Pilot to their resume?
I have more or less taken the past week or so off to play Spaceman Spiff and have been having a blast. T'would be better if my Euro-guildies coulda joined me on time, but alas...
Sad part is most of the guild is European, the Pilots squadron is sadly undermanned.

4/3/3/3 rebel and did the mission for the next 4 box. There are tricks to soloing the 3d level too. Long tho, very long. Pee first.

I am but I don't spend much time in space because my schools internet sucks and even tho it doesn't feel like im lagging I am and I dont do any dmg to the ships. So unless i'm flying around at 4 in the morning I can't gain any skills. So far since JTL went live I've been able to get 1101 in pilot

Picked up JtL from my local store tonight, loaded and installed and, y'know what? Even on dialup it's pretty phwoaaaarrr!!!
Rookie rebel pilot, not TOO fussed about the inflight combat stuff, but, cor, I got me a HUGE bus!! Sorry, yacht. Ah come on, it's a winnebago with wings!!
Oh, yeah, ranger forum... uhm... it's my mobile meat locker... yeah yeah, that's what it is.
OK, gtg, must find some stuff to crash into.... but I'll be /cammoed, of course.

1/2/1/1 Imperial pilot (Storm Squadron). I look pretty snazzy in my fascist flightsuit.
I'm curious... do any rebel players like Y-wings? They seem way too easy to destroy, and I'm really not a very skilled pilot. I guess it depends on who's flying them, but they appear to suck pretty badly. Just wondering.

I'm still using the first level Y-Wing and it does pretty good. A little boost and I can get behind anything I've run into so far and blast it. The really good thing about the Y-Wing is that it holds a lot of weight. You can really load it up with good, high-level components.

Alliance Ace Pilot, here (Crimson Phoenix Squadron).
As for the Y Wing, I used it from 1111 until master (I used the free ship before it and I use an A Wing now). It works quite well as long as you make sure you have good components in it (especially a quick engine). It'snot all that fast and it doesn't handle all that well but it can be loaded out really nicely. And it's a ton of fun if you drag a friend along in the turret (especially useful to get your friends through the lower tiers).

i'm 1/1/1/1 freelance pilot, got that in 2 days, most of it in the starter ship, i didn't even have to eject until i got my own ship and got stupid and tried to take on too high a enemy ship
since then its just been my free travel and not waiting for shuttles and planet hopping, hyperspace is cool too
other than that i have kinda gave up on going higher, i get horrible space lag that just kills combat in space for me plus not wanting to have to tweak the controls to get the mouse to fly better or digging out my old joystick cause don;t have any place on my desk for it anyways, well 1 of these days when i am really really bored i might mess with it but for now i'm back to the ground

3-3-3-2 Imperial Storm Squadron Pilot. Took a break since last saturday because the third tier missions are insanely hard/long. Also, TIE interceptors having a mass limit of 50k makes things a little more difficult. I'll probably try again this weekend if I can spare several hours..

Currently 4/4/3/3 Rebel pilot right now. Will be sticking with an Awing and probably an Xwing.
The KSE is nice but if I ever get it its just going to be a display piece.
My alt is at 0/1/1/0 CorSec. Only reason he's doing it is for the YT though.
