Hi guys !

I am roughly new in the Ranger Profession... my main became master doc a few months ago, and I created a new account to support my doctor... so my alt is swordman,ranger and merchant...

the problem is, I have no idea how to hunt Talus Avian efficently... I cannot use Mission Terminals since no Fynock or Rasps will spawn in the temrinal... going around the planet area tracking every 3 seconds is not very efficient... are there any preferable spots ??? Any helps would be greatly appreciated !!

You must be smoking crack to want to hunt Talus avian.

But if ya really wanna - south, Crimson flats. I see a lot of avian types there. I live on Talus, and have since player cities started. Also, up around Naschal there are always rasps. I started there, developed a hatred for the filthy turd slingers.

Good luck. You will need it. When the meat is good, the spawn are rare.

The key to getting Rasp missions is to (in your case) equip a pistol, you need to be alow level in a weapon skillto get the missions (they pay about 900 to 1000).

I had to hunt talus avian for my "ranger trial" (something the Antarian Ranger guild does that I am a part of). I had to collect both avian bones and meat from Talus so it took a wee while

Tips:

Equip a weapon when you go to the mission terminals. Fynock missions in particular will come up, and as Leaf said, they don't earn a lot though.

Make sure you are veghashed to the eyeballs

and slip out the harvesting droid too to max the amount of resource you can take from one kill.

Use those ranger area track skills - it is a tough hunt and relying on mission terminals will mean it does go slower than if you can find random lairs and sit and clean those out. I am sure you know that the random ones spawn more creatures than the mission ones, so there is more bang for your buck on those. I used my area track far more than missions to find good spawns.

It's worth hanging around a bit after killing off a spawn to see if it re-appears so you can go again.

Lastly, if you can handle it, look out for those Devil Gulingaws or even a Giant Fynock but they are harder to find than the wee birdies.
