Thread: Starting Over at Novice Scout?

Howdy peoples. After over 13 months as a Ranger and finally mastering the profession in October of this year, I'm contemplating dropping all the way down to Novice Scout and starting over. The purpose would be to get re-acquainted with the profession and maybe pick up some new tactics, etc. that I missed the first time around.
I'm thinking that re-doing Survival XP will suck, but maybe I'll learn something new.
Anybody else here ever do this?
Thanks.

with a Lot of persistance and a natural immunity to carpal tunnel you can grind out the survival tree in about 2 days makin camps.

(takes close to 10k hide and 5k bone tho)

(besides there is no roleplay in casual survival xp gain anymore seeing as camps ar comepletely useless)

EVER? I've done it so many times its hard to count. Mostly I've done it on other accounts or servers. I always keep one of my two mains master ranger, but besides that I go to town recreating rangers.

I would advice any ranger feeling slightly bored or stagnent to do this. Although i have never droppedright down to novice scout (only to novice ranger) ive climbed back up many many times, which i intend to do again once our revamp hits.

You do learn more about your profession the more times you progress through it and as long as you dont grind and just take it easy, it can be great fun.

Personally, instead of dropping all the way down, I rolled up a new character on Eclipse because I have feeling that there might be a GRM or two there in the future . Well, that and I haven't tried a melee ranger yet. So I'm giving pikeman a shot with my new Sullustan character.

Im on my third time mastering and im in no rush this round. I wanted to try some other professions out so i was down to novice scout twice. Like you said its good to get reacquanted and you will find things that you missed the last time you climbed. Like I always use traps now. I love the darned things and that came from this climb up the trees. Outside of maybe survival 1-4 but not frontieering dont grind anything. Take your time and learn the limitations and benefits of each box.

Good luck

You can join up with us! I'm the only Ranger in my Hunting PA so we could

If you need creds to get started I can hook you up too (armor and weapons as well).
