i just mastered scout a few nights ago and started working on the tracking line. soon to do wayfaring and trapping and camping. hopefully will get master soon so i can join the ranks of master ranger. i use to be a big pvper. had a melee defensive template. but on my server everyone had dots and i just got bored with dots and pvp basically. heard ranger is very very different from what i used to be. thought i should try it out. and man am i loving it.

Welcome to Ranger. Take your time leveling, there's no rush. If you only decide to go 0/0/4/0, that's fine. If you're going for Master Ranger, great! It's a long journey, if you do it right. Have fun.
Hmmm, deja vu.

I was a Master Weaponsmith for months. It was the first profession I ever mastered.
Last week I dropped all of it for Master Ranger. I absolutely love the profession. One of the high points of the profession is that you don't have to be a Master immediatly to put the skills to use. Being a Weaponsmith, nothing I did would be worth anything until I Mastered. Which led to hours on hours of grinding, not to mention the hours and days spent surveying and gathering resources. Whereas, with Ranger, there is not real rush, and I could take my time working up the tree and not feel hindered by my lack of a Master tag.
I have to say, this is an excellent profession and I would recommend it to anyone interested in something new.
