So with the new elevation indicator how high have you been? When I was a noob a ran from Moneia to Theed and crassed some very high mountian ranges. I wondered what there elevation was and what the highest mountian in the game is. Since Rangers are always out running around in the forrests/mountians/desret/jungles, I figured you guys/gals would now.

I can't recall the exact number but it was VERY "high" (seeing that space is quite high above the ground ). No, I cannot provide some 'ground' data atm, I don't do much on the ground besides the way between moenia and the emperor's retreat to meet my pilot trainer .

blastphamy? Sounds like somebody using boombots or grenades to get weapons xp...

As for how high? Not sure, but I do tend to go up hills in game just cos they are there.

before the 3-axis coordinates, we had (and still do) a command... something like ctrl-shift-G... or maybe F. Anyway, it supposedly showed your z axis or elevation, but I could never figure out, try as I might to run up the peaks of the Yavin mountains and look for increasing numbers to figure out their elevation.

Since then, I've been too busy in space to do this and didn't have much time during beta either. Great post though, as I've been wondering myself where the highest elevation is in the game, and for each planet. I think I've gotten up to 201 or so somewhere in the East/Southeastern part of Talus, but even if that number is correct, it's not the highest point on Talus.

Noob....I am shocked that this thread didn't go that way much sooner! The first time I read the title, I thought that this would get hijacked immediatly!

So did I. But it didn't so I thought a little push might be in order. Some of this stuff is fun to read.

i haven't been paying attention to it, but is it possible to go below sea level and have a negative Z axis?

if so, what's the lowest you've ever been? where's the death valley of SWG

how high? well, there was this one time when--

*cough*

*clears throat* oh, z-axial height thingy...

umm, once I got ridiculously high in the mountains on Endor. I believe it was in excess of 800m. it was pretty neat. we recently had a contest on my server, someone was paying millions for people to find the highest height on each planet. I got wind of it, though, too late to start looking.
