I killed 6 and none of them dropped anything though. They're supposed to drop some sort of feather, eventually, right?

I've killed 3 ablatrosses in my day. First one droppeed 9 feathers, 2nd one dropped 2, and the third one dropped 9.

If you ever get in that situation again: Harvest the meat off those Giant Pekos as that is Avian meat and not matter the quality/quantity there will come a time when no avian meat exists. Bio-Engs, Docs and Medics all pay nicely when they are desperate for Avian meat. You can always stockpile it until the message boards has offers of 300 cpu for Avian and then pull it out and make some $$.

Albatrosses drop feathers every time ive heard of, lets face it something that tough should.

I once lived in a city that seemed to be right on top of where albatrosses liked to spawn. I was a swordsman at the time, and killed an awful lot of em. They were a breeze for me, and I'm fairly sure any profession that can work around the 100% kinetic resists would be able to take them, after all, they're only medium armor. I'd say the drop rate for feathers is around 50%. I haven't hunted creatures for RIS components in awhile though, and I've heard now they can drop sets of items rather than just the single they used to be set at.

I've killed maybe 50-60 albatrosses. The drop rate seems to be about 80-90% with an average of 6-8 feathers per drop. I've had several drop 2 or 3 feathers, and a few that dropped as many as 10-11 feathers. Sadly, since JTL, it seems that nobody on my server is buying any RIS components.
