...fiberplast. I have a contract to find fiberplast for a character and I'm not sure how to find it.

Fiberplast is a chemical inorganic resource. You need to have at least novie artisan and a chemical survey tool. Double click on the tool and choose a radius of search (ther should only be one on the list if you are novice). then double-click the tool again, choose fiberplast from the list and click on survey. This will tell you the concentration of fiberplast in the area. If there is no percentage numbers in the little map area it means youneed to move a couple hundred meters and try again. At some point you will see a percentage of fiberplast show up and you can click on sample. Or you can put down a chemical harvester. You probably want to find a percentage somewhere over 60% for it to be really worth the time. Just keep surveying until you find a good spot.

It's something you get out of the ground. It's not a Ranger issue at all. Check the artisans' profession page for guides to surveying, or go to any starport and try buying some from a vendor.
