I am not sure exacitally how it happens. but there have been times when i have gotten 2k+ xp when taking down a camp... when that has happened, there have been LOTS of people in it, and they have all been healing, buffing etc. and I am pretty sure that every time that happened they were up for 30+ minutes

So here's my question:
Having more than 1 character in your camp gives better xp faster, right? So if I call in my helper droid, does that count as another character? Or do I have to buy another droid to do that?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Indeed, the more persons in your camp the less time it takes to get maximum exp and the sooner you pop the next one up
I used to call my pet and it never seemed to make a difference

he's right. calling a pet or other people calling a pet doesnt' help. however the more people you have in your camp the faster it will go up. and you can actually break the "cap" of the xp if you are healing people and or pets in the camp.

so since pets don't give extra xp, do helper droids make a difference???
just asking because if im sitting in camp alone and i call out my droid, I wanna know if it actually makes a difference.
thanks for the info.

Tibli wrote:droids = pets for just about everything in the game
specifically...
droids are pets.
faction personnel are pets.
tamed creatures are pets.
however... when you talk to a CH about 'pets', they're talking about tamed creatures.
so... faction personnel/droids/tamed creatures = pets... but pets <> faction personnel/droids/tamed creatures in all cases.

And the visitor count is nice, but means little, as xp is figured on the people in the camp when you take it down.
500 visitors, or one guy running back and forth making it seem as if you had 500 visitors, best all be in the camp all the time for XP.
8 people, healing pets, each other, entertaining to get rid of mind wounds, and crafting = max any camp in 8 minutes.

Creature Handler here. And I ground out the last3 boxes of Survival in the Scout line last night. Calling a creature does affect the camp. I called my Harvester Droid to max out xp on the basic campsite in 3 minutes, until I noticed I was wearing off the paint job on him (customization lifetime dropped 400). Then I called my Giant Veermok Baby for the remaining time.
With the first two camps in the Scout survival line, calling either the droid or the pet around 30 times in roughly 3 minutes maxed the camp xp to my knowledge. I was getting 658 Survival xp when disbanding the camp at the 3 minute mark. Occasionally I got 700 xp, but that seemed to trigger for unknown reasons.
And next time I think I'll just save the resources and make traps instead

Vehicles also count as a visitor. Camp alone, call your bike and check the data terminal in your camp and it will show two visitors.
Also, running in and out of your camp can create a bug which will show that you have a negative amount of visitors.

Excellent info, thanks. i had my droid out, with a friend and his pet, and I ended up getting around 1050-1100xp for 10 minutes. I wasn't aware of the vehicle though, so I'll try that too. I used to hate survival grinding, but this way makes a whole lot more sense, and it's lighter on the frustration.
Thanks for the info ladies and gentlement, you've helped tons.
p.s.: do you gear up your xp when you craft traps in camp?? I wasn't aware of that!
