Or not necessarily a "macro" per se, however can you simplify the pop-up windows by a command prompt of /areatrack X?

No, only /areatrack.
No macro will select animal, people or players.

but I certainly wish you could "/ar animal" and skip that whole screen.
Maybe they'll add that during the ranger revamp in the year 2020.

what you CAN do is open up 20 aretrack boxes by typing /ar every time. You can then mount a creatureand areatrack while on top of the creature. you still have to stop moving to do it, but this is the fastest way to areatrack from what I've found.

Yeah seems silly this. Why not just let us /areatrack while still mounted? I suppose we have to get off to give time for things to spawn anyway though....

it won't let you areatrack from a mount you have to get off put the command in and get back on its really annoying.

Type /ar
ctrl + up arrow, return to repeat last command
Open a stack of /ar windows
Get on your mount, scoot around, stop, don't dismo, just click on one of the open /ar windows
Honest, it does work...
you even do the demented sailor animation.

create a track macro;
/ar
pause 0.5
/macro track
Leave that going for a bit. dump it, get on your bike/creature and off you go. Thats what I use, and it works fairly well.
