What I mean is, I'm not sure how many different levels we can master yet. I want master Ranger but still want to dabble in CH and rifles. Is there a place where we can, say, click on a certain number of boxes to work up a template and it checks against our skill points to determine if we'll have enough?

My comments are in green. TBH, I think the template that will help you the best is Master Rifleman, Master Ranger and a level 3 box of CH (this is a common template that many people swear by).

Awesome, thanks guys. Knowing what I wanted before playing with it really helped to. Let me know if this sounds reasonable.
Master Ranger - Good
Marksman - 4000 - Necessary for Rifles
Rifleman - 4200 - My opinion is, Rifles are not worth using unless you are a Master.
Novice Medic - 1111 - There is no Level 1 box in medic that gives a worthwhile mod/skill. Novice is plenty adequate unless you are going to master.
Creature Handler - 2201
I might give up my medic skills to gain more rifles or chreature handling.

Actually, that's a very convincing template. And it's flexible enough the higher up I get towards master rifles to give and take a bit to play with CH. And you've convinced me to dum the first level of medic as well. I can probably still diagnose, tendwound and administer stimm A's in a camp so that's cool.
Thanks,

Well, you can use 450+ power stim B's and diagnose with Novice.

It would be nice if this web page was updated with JTL. Very nice, been using this for some time.

Go to www.Bloodfin.org. They have an excellent downloadable character builder there by the name of KSWGProfCalcEditor or some such.
P.S., It has been updated to include Jedi and JTL.

Bit of advice: rifles isn't really something to dabble in. You need to master it in order for it to be truly effective.
