I thought that I read about this somewhere before, but I searched and couldn't find it. When using Veghash for harvesting do you still get the bonus while using a harvesting droid or only if you harvest the resource yourself? In other words,if I eatVeghash is it worth it to use my harvest droid? Thanks in advance for any help.

Droid harvest rates are a modifer ( up or down depending on the harvest rating of the droid ) against your harvest skill level. You can increase your effective skill level by using Veghash which in turn gives the droid a higher "base" value for it's harvest to be calculated against.

In short, yeah, use both.

Sigh... silly Rangers

Unless you are Rifle and don't wish to break concealment, the use of harvest droids is a waste.

You can get more harvest faster with a killer droid. I timed it this morning. With a droid, I can drop a perlek nest in less than 5 minutes. After the initial swarm, which with the droid I take on all at once, unbuffed/unarmed - hey, they are only birds - I drop them as fast as they spawn out after the tap.

Without the droid, while I still "can" take on the initial swarm, it does go slower. Then as hey spawn after the tap, sometimes I am too slow and a second spawns while I am still dropping the first.

I firmly believe that killer droids are the Dev's answer to my prayers. No skill points, hard hitting, don't run, obey orders, kick butt. And no tallking back or eating into my harvest.

After one session of watching a buddy chase his harvestor all over hell's half acre, intimidated it were, I laughed and continued to use my killers. Oh yeah, with a buddy and two droids, we draw some good missions. The harvestors drag you down with no combat rating.

Tell your harvester to stay before you send it torwards the nest. Kill your targets, have it harvest, it will stay at the corpse, and not run back and forth to/from you

Settup 50m away, go to town on the gurks.

Ooh ooh ooh, shameless plug coming up : 600 rated/4477 HAM R3's available on my vendor near Theed, 548 rated/3184 HAM Probots coming soon. They're the best possible until OQ/CD 1000 resources shift in.

Still need to add the waypoint to my sig, but you can find my vendors on Naboo, Eclipse near Theed on the worldmap under vendor -> droids -> Washell's Droids and Astromechs.

Yeah I'll probably see about doing something like that later on with my Starsider toon, right now though he's low enough to get away with the 3 harvest/2 trap module probot I got for him. Harvests the same as I can on my own, allows me to use rifles easily, throws traps for me which keeps me from getting aggro'd as fast, and unlike your buddy probots have built in combat even though it's not any good but it will stand its ground because of it.
