Ok... been Rangering since the third beta launched. Never left the profession and have quietly dealt with nerfs, changes, and abilities handed out to other professions. But this whole change in the aggroing based on CL is really bugging the heck out of me...
Last night I was doing the Ryatt Trail and was walking past some Bloodclaw Moufs. They weren't aggroing because of my CL. But a little part of my Ranger died in me... I used to walk past aggro critters with Mask Scent on and feel "Rangerish." Realizing that only I, and my Ranger brethern, could do this so well and so quickly. Sure the TKMs may be able to kill everything, but a pack of 30 Bloodclaw Moufs would still overwhelm them. Before the change only we could walk into the mouth of the Beast and return without the Beast knowing or caring we were there.
Now.. pretty much anyone can...
I know the change will never go back. Too many players enjoy not getting aggroed by pesky low level critters, but for some reason THIS is the change that finally got to me.
... ok... I feel better now... thanks for listening... years of quiet suffering, and finally had to let something out.
