Still havent really figured out how combat levels work, and Im wondering if master ranger + master combat prof gives you CL 80?
Question 2, is it possible to dabble in ranger (for example avoid trapping for the time being which seems a bit broken) and go for a few trees in another combat prof or some medic and still get CL 80?
Appreciate any info you might have

Yes. Mastering Ranger and a combat prof will get you to CL 80, as will certain elite prof combinations which don't include 2 masteries.
